Garden to Table

Garden to Table is awesome! We are lucky to have Mrs Masters (gardening specialist) and Mrs Silvester (cooking specialist) to instruct us and teach us the ways of G2T.

In the garden we tend to have two groups doing harvesting and another weeding the gardens. We have three main gardens the potager garden, the general school garden and the pool garden. We usually get our supplies from the tunnel house. All the year 4 and 5's do it on their own day and their own time every second week.

In the kitchen we cook a range of different meals out of vegeterian foods, such as salads, pastas and curries. We have 1 serving of desserts each and we take it in turns to bake the desserts. At G2T we believe you should try every type of food even if you think you don't like it!

Meadowbank School is very lucky to have such amazing teachers and garden to table is a highly sucsessful program.

Here are some pictures of us enjoying Garden to Table and we hope you enjoy looking at them as much as we enjoy doing it!
