Our Poupou Art for Matariki

Today we have been doing some Poupou art for Matariki this Monday. We have a black background with 7 stars that represent the Matariki constellation. This is Maori contemporary art. We had the choice of blending our colours or having block colours. Here are some of our art pieces in progress.

Now most of us have finished ours and Mrs Cook even showed 3 of them to the teachers in the staffroom! Some of them might just be put up in the hall by our Sarah C Art ( You will have to scroll down to find it once you have opened the link).
